The Lady Erzsébet (Elizabeth) Báthory of Hungary, known as the Blood Countess, is known as the worlds worst ever female serial killer. In the pursuit of eternal beauty, the Countess Báthory is said to have bathed in the blood of over 650 servant girls. Rumors that she also drank their blood contributed to the legends of her being a vampire. Upon her arrest, she was condemned to life imprisonment and walled up in a tower of her castle. The fragrance "Countess Bathory" is a nod to the Countess, the dark side of vanity, and the relentless pursuit of eternal beauty.

Fragrance - Sweet notes of cream and honey, essential elements of ancient beauty treatments, are laced with notes of dark patchouli, black leather, and rosewood lending a darker element to pure notes of sweetness. The whisper of an ornate red velvet dress, alluring red flowers and soothing jasmine, create a dangerous combination when framed against the bold notes of dark, ripe juicy plum. She's beauty. She's grace. She's dangerous.

Key Notes - Dark plum, Red velvet, Delicate red flowers, Whipped Cream, Soft leather, Jasmine, Patchouli, Rosewood, Vanilla

Oh. My. Goodness. This is gorgeous. Juicy and decadent, with a musky, floral edge that keeps it from being too fruity. Creamy and sweet, against the swish of a red velvet gown.. it’s so sultry. I know Countess Bathory was a dark individual, but this perfume feels like feminine power. It’s divine.

This scent is my favorite out of a sampler pack I bought. I adore it. It's so subtle but musky and sweet at the same time. A very complementary scent, may very well buy a larger bottle!

A beautiful and complex blend of floral, sweet, and dark. She was dangerous, disturbed, and powerful, but was also widely known for her physical beauty, which drove her to do whatever it took to hold onto it. This one seems to perfectly capture the essence of Erzsebet! It remains another one of my favorites.
Rating: 4/5
This one goes on dark and lightens up as you wear it, becoming sweeter and more complex.
